  • Vanish Farmwoods Brewery - Leesburg, VA

Join us on the Farm!  Vanish Farmwoods Brewery in Leesburg is the perfect brewery to launch our Beer Adventures group on SATURDAY, JUNE 8.

Vanish Farmwoods is known for it's good beer and laid back attitude on their 63 acre farm.  The family - run brewery  prides themselves on being an experimentation brewery offering beer styles across the board.    You are sure to find a beer you will like with their more than 20 taps covering beers that are Hoppy, Malty, Light, Fruity, Sour, Barrel-Aged and more.  As you drive up on the farm you will be greeted by vines of hops growing at the entrance.  They source their ingredients from their own farm and others in the local community to bring you beer that is plant to pint!  They offer a large rustic indoor area as well as outdoor areas to gather as well.

NO, NO!  Don't tell us that your spouse might not be a beer lover!  We'll look the other way this time ...our Beer Adventure members are a friendly casual bunch and Vanish Farmwoods does offer wine cocktails, red, rose & white wine, sangria and cider.

As we mentioned last month, this new group will meet several times a year on weekends and evenings to learn about and taste a variety of beers.

Spouses or a Plus one are welcome to any of these casual group gatherings.

In the works for next year is a DINNER WITH BEER PAIRING with a certified cicerone at a local brewery in a historic building in Leesburg.   We are so excited to be planning a BUS TRIP TO THE NEW GUINNESS BREWERY north of Baltimore for tastings, tour and lunch.  The highlight of the year is the annual in- home beer tasting night focusing on beer from various regions with consultations of a certified cicerone.

We will be sending an invitation with details including time, address, food menu, carpools, etc. to those who have signed up for Beer Adventures on the GFFN Website.   To designate BEER ADVENTURES on your GFFN profile,  log in to the GFFN website; then click your name at top of the screen; then EDIT (and SAVE) youupdated GFFN Membership Profile.
